How does it feel leaving a building when you have worked in it for 31 years?? There is definitely some sadness about moving from that building. It is where I started my career in education. It is where my children went to elementary school. It is where my older granddaughter finished elementary and my younger granddaughter just finished 3rd grade. There are many memories associated with that building and I am proud to have been a part of each of them. Many are surprised that I am not retiring this year – I’m even a little surprised myself! I still love what I do and feel that I can still contribute to our students, school and district. I am looking forwarding to starting the 2022-2023 school year in our brand new location AND looking forward to a brand new building in a room with multiple electrical outlets, wide and brightly lit hallways and many smiling faces!
