Notice of Non-Discrimination

Magnet Cove School District complies with federal requirements required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and §504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which state that, "no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicap be excluded from participation or be denied the benefits of, or be subject to, discrimination under any program or activities receiving federal financial assistance.”

No student in the Magnet Cove School District shall, on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity sponsored by the District.

Discriminatory student behavior will not be tolerated. Discrimination may be based on race, ethnicity, religion, culture, gender, sexual orientation, age or disability. Students engaging in or promoting such behavior will be subject to disciplinary consequences.

Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, to the Title IX Coordinator in person or by using the mailing address, telephone number, or email address provided above. A report may be made at any time, including during non-business hours, and may be on the individual’s own behalf or on behalf of another individual who is the person alleged to be the victim of conduct that could constitute sex discrimination or sexual harassment.  Individuals may also contact the Title IX Coordinator in order to file a formal complaint.
